Department of “Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”, established in September of 2018 and directly under the administration of the School, has a faculty team of 7 full-time teaching professionals including 5 associate professors, 3 holding doctoral degree, and 3 master’s degree.  Among them, there are not only old teachers with rich teaching experience, middle-aged teachers full of vigor and life, but also young teachers with quick-witted thinking. They complement each other's advantages, live in harmony and work together to successfully complete the work assigned by the School.  All the faculty members, especially in the work of teaching, possess a clear and firm political stand, broad vision, dedication to their profession, and love for their work posts, and are full of compassion and feelings.  And, therefore, they are deeply loved by their students.

 

   The Department, over the years, has offered the main courses including Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Basic Knowledge of the Party, Sixty Years of the KMT in Taiwan and History and Status Quo of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and, at the same time, participated in teaching of Situation and Policy,  Hongyi China (strong and tenacious), University and other courses. The course Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics has already fulfilled the qualification and requirements of the key course project of Shanghai Sanda University, as well as those of the key course project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.  It will satisfy qualification and requirements of on-campus excellent course project of Shanghai Sanda University by the end of 2020.

 

   The faculty members and administrators of the Department, ever since its establishment, earnestly implement the various school regulations and rules, actively carry out various types of teaching and research activities, continue to enhance their professional quality, strive to explore the mode of classroom teaching and practical activities suitable for students in private higher education institutions, and pay attention to fully mobilize students' degree of enthusiasm and level of outcome for the participation in the teaching process, and attach great importance to various professional training activities and lectures organized by the school and the institution, and engaged in serious related discussions.  In the process of teaching practice, they pay good attention to the general trends of the world and the public opinion, closely integrate the theoretical knowledge with social practice, encourage, inspire and motivate students to care about the development of the country and the destiny of the nation, and enhance the students’ ability, utilizing Marxist Sinicization theories, to analyze problems, research on the current situation at home and abroad, and look ahead to the future.
