Program Mission and Goals:
This 4-year Baccalaureate program is established to respond to the urgent rehabilitation needs in the healthcare circle, and to promote the interdisciplinary practice for the well-being and holistic recovery of the patients. It is designed following the requirements of “The Global Education Standard on Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy”. Program graduates will study healthcare professional ethics, medical science and basic medical theory, physical therapy theory, and clinical practice skills, which are focused on rehabilitation, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Program graduates are expected to become general physical therapists with creativity and potential for future development. This 4-year long solid physical therapy training will develop students into modern talented physical therapists to meet the needs of aging society and healthcare community. The graduates are expected to support the rehabilitation medical practice, function independently for patient’s assessment, make physical or occupational therapy plan, implement the plan and evaluate the outcome of therapy.
Core Professional Courses:
The curriculum of Physical Therapy Program includes the following courses to facilitate the professional development of the students. These courses are: Normal Human Body Science, Disease Foundation, Health Assessment, Functional Anatomy, Biomechanics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Diagnosis, Medical Ethics, Medical Psychology, Introduction to Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Assessment, Physical Therapy, Sports Therapy, Occupation Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Auxiliary Technology of Rehabilitation Engineering, Community Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Clinical Rehabilitation.
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
Students can sit for the National Physical Therapist License Examination after graduation. With a positive result, they will become a registered PT.
Our graduates will be eligible for jobs in various organizations, such as comprehensive hospitals, health care institutions, nursing homes, rehabilitation hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, rehabilitation departments in hospitals and international health related companies.
