The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Delegation Visits Sanda University

        The delegation, sent by The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the United States of America, composed of Dr. Daniel Pack, Dean of College of Engineering and Computer Science and Dr. Joseph Owino, Head of Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering and Computer Science, visited Sand University on September 12th, 2019 and conducted meetings with Sanda relevant leaders.Dr. Cheng Wang, Deputy Dean of School of Information Science and Technology, Mr. Zhengxin Zhou, Professor and Head of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Ms. Li Li, Assistant to the President and Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office of Sanda University attended the meeting.

        At the meeting, Director Li Li and Dr. Daniel Pack made an introduction to their respective institutions which was followed by serious discussions on the possibility of cooperation between the institutions in terms of summer activities, student exchange, dual-degree at Bachelor level, the introduction of each other’s curriculum, faculty training and other programs. Both institutions reached an initial understanding of starting with a summer program and follow up with an in-depth implementation of cooperation in other areas of cooperation as soon as possible.

        It is understood that the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is located in the City of Chattanooga, State of Tennessee and financially supported by the municipal government.  The university is often referred to as UTC or simply Chattanooga (especially when referred to at intercollegiate track and field sports meet). It is also one of the three institutions of higher learning and two affiliated organizations, making up the Tennessee University System.
