Student Work from School of Media Won the Third Prize in College Students New Media Creative Competition

Recently, the 6th College Students New Media Creative Competition Award Ceremony was held at the Yifu Hall of Renmin University of China. Chen Lixin, Deputy Dean of School of Media, and Qiu Danni and Xue Yuanzhi, students majoring in Internet and New Media, attended the conference in Beijing. At the ceremony, two students won the third prize for their work “Little Rabbit can’t sleep”.

Since the launch of the 6th College Students New Media Creative Competition, School of Media has attached great importance to it and organized students of all majors to actively participate in the contest. After ten months of registration, participation and selection, Qiu and Xue’s work won the third prize in the group of “Take You to Read a Book” under the guidance of their teacher, Yang Xiaowen.

During the activity, Qin Yuming, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Journalism and Communication Department of Communication University of China, introduced the creativity and planning of digital school history museum, and shared the experience of media technology in college teaching and practice. Xue said that before the award ceremony, contestants from all over the country shared their excellent works, and professional teachers made comments on the spot, from which they learned many new media skills and innovative ideas. Through the lectures given by teachers from communication university of China, they had a better understanding of the prospect and hope of new media. It is hoped that more students can sign up for the College Students New Media Creative Competition in the future to improve their professional ability in practice.
