Mr. Will Shannon, Head of International Programs and Relations, Office of International Affairs, University of Canterbury, New Zealand ( UC in short in the following text), and Ms. Jun Xie, Head of UC Programs, UC Liaison Office in Shanghai, visited our university on March 19th and 20th, 2018.Mr. Will Shannon briefly introduced to Sanda students the UC and New Zealand education, UC cooperative programs with Chinese institutions of higher learning, and UC admission requirements for international students and also made detailed answers to the questions raised by the students at the Students Recruitment Promotion Meeting on the evening of 19th.
Dr. Qiaoping Jia, Vice President of Sanda, received Mr. Will Shannon and Ms. Jun Xie in the #300 Conference Room of Building 10 on the morning of 20th. Ms. Minyun Chen, Party Secretary-General of Shengxiang Business School, Ms. Lei Bao, Director, Office of General Affairs, School of Information Science and Technology, and Ms. Miao Yi, Office of International Cooperation, also attended the meeting. A UC delegation visited Sanda last semester. The two sides then reached a preliminary intention on cooperation and exchange. The Memorandum of Understanding, the outcome of the last UC visit, will be signed in the very near future. During the visit of Mr. Will Shannon, both sides conducted a more detailed discussion on short-term study tour program, student overseas study exchange program, and 2+2, 3+1 and 3+1+1 bachelor and master degree programs, and clarified the cooperation and implementation plans for 2018.
