Dr. Qiaoping Jia, Vice President, and Ms. Li Li, Deputy Director of Presiding of Office of International Exchange&Cooperation, Sanda University received the Eastern New Mexico University Delegation from the United States led by Dr. Jeffrey Long, Vice President and Dr. Michael Zhang, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, on the afternoon of April 3rd, 2018, conducting a friendly discussion on future international exchange and cooperation between the two institutions.
The two sides briefed each other on the situation of their respective institutions before the discussion. It is learnt that Eastern New Mexico University, a key public institution in the State of New Maxico, was established in 1927, having 23 colleges and departments, 24 master degree programs, and a doctoral program in education which was established in 1961. The university has enjoyed high reputation for its field of Communication. And its fields of Management and Computer Science have been recognized and welcomed by the American business community.
Both institutions then engaged in a preliminary discussion on short-term exchange, student exchange in overseas study, student exchange in dual-degree and other academic programs. Dr. Qiaoping Jia, Vice President of Sanda University said that Sanda will insist on an open and cooperative approach to welcoming international exchange programs that are beneficial to both students and faculty members. She also expressed her expectation for the signing of a memorandum of understanding and coordination and promotion of the possible coordinative programs in the future.
