Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association and Shanghai Overseas Chinese Affairs Center jointly hosted and Sino-British College of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and My Job Tank International co-sponsored a public welfare forum for professional development of returned overseas students and scholars entitled “Ted X SORSA Speech Contest” which took place at Sino-British College of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology on December 10th, 2017. At the forum, the young returned overseas students and scholars, under the theme of “Meet yourself five years later and see Shanghai five years from now”, talked freely about good job opportunities in the new era in Shanghai and shared their new spirit and vision.
Ms. Wen Qin, a member and Mr. Quan An, a board director from Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association Sanda University Branch together with other 6 people from other branch associations participated in the forum as speech contestants for the final.They went through several rounds of selection from more than 10,000 members and professional training and finally stood out in the final.Two members from Shanghai Branch Association, after a special training by a TED senior training instructor, gave leading proposals for the employment of contemporary personnel of talent at the forum based on their own professional work and under the main topic of education and cultivation for the talented personnel.They told stories about professional or career development in terms of the urban development plan of Shanghai, the foreseeable scientific and technological life, teaching and nurturing students, and their personal development planning, displaying the clear professional planning routes for young returned overseas students and scholars and their patriotic feelings during their overseas studies.
