On March 29, headed by Prof. Chen Hongzhi from Faculty of Design and Management and Dean Zhu Huijing from Department of Design, a delegation from the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (hereinafter referred to as: THEI) visited Sanda. Vice President Jia Qiaoping of Sanda warmly received the guests. Dean Zhou Xudong from School of Fashion, Sanda University signed a cooperative agreement with Dean Chen Hongzhi from THEI. According to the agreement, deeper cooperation will be conducted in the field of fashion education.
At the signing ceremony, Vice President Jia firstly made an introduction to the history and achievements of Sanda. Prof. Chen Hongzhi then introduced their courses in Fashion Design, Image Design, Accessory Design, and Fashion Merchandising and Buying etc. He said that the curriculum design of both sides was consistent, which laid a solid foundation for the two parties’ cooperation in joint talents training. The Fashion Design course in THEI ranked the second place in Hong Kong and even enjoyed a high reputation overseas.
It is reported that School of Fashion from Sanda will bring in teachers and textbooks in the Brand Clothing Design Program in THEI from May 15 to 22 and deliver the program to second-year students. They will jointly train students and conduct a seven-day Brand Clothing Planning course. Fifteen students from THEI will be sent to the School of Fashion to learn pattern making and to hold interactive communications with Sanda students.
