Recently third-year students Xia Guanghua from School of Computer Science and Technology and Wu Xu from School of Information Management and System have given lectures on “the application of big data technology” and “a general introduction to finance IT technology”. Teachers from School of Information Science and Technology attended this seminar, which was one of a series of seminars held by the Big Data Processing and Analysis Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center).

Founded in 2016, the Center was one of the first batches of Sanda’s school-level academic institutions. The main targets of the Center in 2017 include: assisting teachers from School of Information Science and Technology in conducting academic research, inviting experts to deliver lectures on hot issues in this field, bringing in noted experts from enterprises as invited experts in Sanda, etc. It is hoped that through holding a series of seminars, teachers’ research and teaching capacity can be improved and the comprehensive strength of the School can also be enhanced.
