University of Southern Queensland is located in Toowoomb, a garden city in Queensland. It is a comprehensive public university approved by the Australian government and China’s Ministry of Education. Recently a delegation made up of President LI Jin, Vice President JIA Qiaoping, Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology CHEN Ying and Dean of the International Communication and Exchange Office HUA Hua has paid a visit to this university and signed a memorandum on cooperation in the aviation field.

At the company of Vice President Prof. Janet Verbyla from University of Southern Queensland, Sanda delegation visited its Toowoomba campus and non-public airport. Prof. Verbyla said that this meeting not only consolidated bi-lateral ties, but laid a solid foundation for further cooperation. Executive Director Prof. Talal Yusaf expressed that the aviation course in their university was leading in Australia and hoped to establish more programs with Sanda in within this field.

President LI hoped to jointly train aviation talents through cooperating with University of Southern Queensland and enterprises in Shanghai . At the same time he expressed his hope that cooperation would be held in areas like teacher training, scientific research and the “3+1+1” training mode for undergraduates and postgraduates.

The aviation course in University of Southern Queensland incorporates aviation management and operation. This university provides student with courses that are delivered by certified trainers, who teach qualified students practical flight skills.
