In order to train qualified IT talents for enterprises in various professions, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Sanda and CLPS. Huaqin School, an outcome for the two parties’ long-term cooperation, was finally founded. On 14th October, President LI Jin, Vice President FENG Weiguo, Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology CHEN Ying from Sanda, and Chairman YANG Xiaofeng, General Manager LIN Minghui from CLPS jointly inaugurated Huaqin School. Leaders from both sides addressed the inauguration ceremony.
Ever since 2010 when the first Sanda graduate worked in CLPS, there has been cooperation in terms of student employment, student internship, course introduction and the establishment of integrated training platform. They have reached consensus that the whole teaching process shall be accompanied by information technology, which then transforms traditional teaching methods. In addition, they agreed that imparting knowledge was key in the teaching process but ability and quality training was also important. Only through combining the two elements, can the efficiency and quality of teaching be enhanced.
Chairman YANG pointed out that CLPS and Sanda started with enterprise-university cooperation and then went through the process of jointly training IT and finance talents in course setting. They’ve come a long way to the founding of Huaqin School today. They have always been appreciative to each other and possessed the same value in talents training.
President LI put forward the concept of “interaction” and viewed it as key to Sanda’s future development. He believed that the founding of this school was a result of interaction between industries and universities. Take the finance industry for example. It was a continuity of “core business” and “service outsourcing”. Cooperation based on this meant dealing with the relationship between people, products and service. This interaction would create many new products and services, which subsequently required more talents. So we took the opportunity to train talents of this kind. Secondly, he pointed out thatinteractive enterprise-university cooperation should pay due attention to cooperation modes. He then talked out interaction between systems and expressed his belief that the School would train advanced talents and made great contribution to the society.
