On March 8, a delegation led by Professor Fukushi Masahiro, Vice President of Tokyo Keizai University (TKU), visited Sanda. President Li and Vice President Jia Qiaoping met the delegation and both sides were engaged in a friendly talk.
President Li extended a warm welcome to the guests. He introduced our school and stressed the strategic role internationalization plays in Sanda’s development plan. He anticipated closer ties between the two institutions, so as to create more study and job opportunities for faculty and students.
Fukushi introduced the history and development of TKU. He stated that internationalization is also a major strategy for TKU and that every year quite a few students from Sanda come to TKU for its master programs. He hoped that the two institutions will advance cooperation by strengthening student exchanges and faculty exchanges at the same time.
Vice President Jia mentioned that Sanda is planning to provide the Japanese language courses to students outside of the Japanese Department who intend to study in Japan. She pointed out that the two schools can expand cooperation in the fields of academic research and teaching cooperation in the future.
Later on, the delegation and the superintendents concerned held a detailed discussionon student exchanges, international students and faculty exchanges.
On the afternoon, Professor Fukushi gave an academic lecture entitled China’s and Japan's Countermeasures against Global Warming to students in the Japanese Department.
