On March 4th, Kari Ristim?ki, the new CEO and Rector of Centria University of Applied Sciences, along with Vice Rector Hannele Teir and International Coordinator Helena Eijsberg, visited our University.
President Li Jin, accompanied by Vice President Jia Qiaoping and superintendents from International Exchange Office andthe School of International Medical Technology, received the guests in the conference room. The two sides conducted in-depth and constructive talks.
President Li extended a warm welcome to the guests. He stated that new rector means a new start and that Centria is a strategic cooperative partner for Sanda in the process of higher education internationalization. He hoped that under the new situation the two universities will strengthen exchanges and promote the development of joint programs.
Kari Ristim?k pointed out since he took up the post in January 2016, he has become more and more aware of the importance of internationalization and that his visit is exactly to strengthen bilateral relations and encourage the development of cooperative projects. He also said that Sanda’s beautiful campus and modern facilities had greatly impressed him.
Vice Rector Hannele Teir mentioned that the cooperative projects have won support from the Finnish Government and that Centria is planning to recruit more students from Sanda on IT program and Marketing program this year.
Later on, the two sides had a fruitful discussion on student double degree exchange programs, joint master programs and teachers exchange project in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
