Professor Carsten Hebestreit from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Visits Sanda

Recently, Dr.Jia Qiaoping, Vice President of Sanda University, Ms. Hua Hua, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation and Professor Yang Yiqing, Dean of ShengXiang Business College, received Professor Carsten Hebestreit, Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW).
Dr.Carsten Hebestreit represents DHBW to visit Sanda and hope to cooperate with Sanda in student exchange, scientific research project. On the meeting, introduction has been made by Mr. Carsten Hebestreit which is regarded to the school-running characteristics and personnel cultivating program. Both sides also said they will make a program which is about student exchange from the beginning.
The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach (DHBW-Loerrach) was founded in 1981 as Berufsakademie L?rrach. It offers workplace-focused, cooperative degree courses. This meansthat students alternate between learning the theory at school and applying iton the job in a three-month rhythm. Besides Loerrach, seven other schools ofcooperative education and three branch campuses where founded inBaden-Wuerttemberg since the beginning of 1974.
The German state of Baden-Wuerttemberghas changed the school’s legal status on March 1, 2009. The union of the mergedeight institutions with 11 campuses is now named Baden-WürttembergCooperative State University. It is a legal entity of public law andsimultaneously a state institution. By 2009 the combined student enrollmentacross all 11 campuses had reached more than 25,000 students. More than 90,000graduated alumni have been educated in more than 8,000 cooperating companies.
About 2,000 students are enrolled atthe DHBW Loerrach. It runs a faculty of business and a faculty of engineering and offers 17 different business and technical fields of study. All programsare intensive and full-time degree courses (accredited with 210 ECTS).
