The delegation learned in particular about the universities’ administrative principles, talent-cultivating modes and teaching/training methods combining practice, learning and research. In addition, the delegation communicated and exchanged ideas with the universities on possible future cooperation.
In order to bring up high-quality primary and middle school healthcare teachers through Sanda’s Health Education Department, the delegation had an informal discussion with leaders from the Health Promotion and Health Education Department (HPHE Department) of NTNU and the Taiwan Schools’ Health Association and learned in details the health education development history of Taiwan schools, and the health promotion philosophies and talent-cultivating methods of the HPHE Department of NTNU. The two sides expressed their wishes of mutual exchanges. Leaders of the HPHE Department are in full support of Sanda’s Health Education Department, and have decided to collaborate with Sanda in faculty training, curriculum development and student exchange.
At Wenzao, Sanda’s delegation visited the departments of English, Japanese and Spanish, discussing with the departmental leaders possibilities of further cooperation and exchange in areas of student exchange, joint student contests and faculty exchange. At LHU, the two sides specified the expanded size of student exchange for the future and discussed the feasibility of having visiting scholar programs and expanding their junior-to-senior college transfer programs.
The delegation led by Zengtai Zhang also visited Taipei Long Men Junior High School and Xinbei Hengshan Primary School to learn specifically about their health education programs. Moreover, the delegation held an informal discussion with the 6 Sanda students on exchange at LHU, encouraging them to study hard and enhance their capabilities.
The two sides could further their collaboration in student and faculty exchange, starting at the department- and school-levels, and expanding to the university-level so as to import into each high-quality educational resources.
